About Us

St Andrew’s  Berwick Uniting Church in Australia is 168 years old in 2025. It started as a church plant from Cranbourne as Berwick Presbyterian Church. It has been active and has faithfully served the Berwick and districts community ever since.

The name “St Andrew’s” was added in 1937 to commemorate its Scottish and Irish heritage. In 1977, it joined with other Presbyterian churches and the Methodist Churches and many Congregational Churches in Australia to become part of the Uniting Church in Australia.

Today St Andrew’s Berwick is happily a multi-cultural church of all ages, with diverse activities and community groups operating. These include the 10.30 am Sunday service and a monthly Holy Communion on the first Sunday.  After each service we host a late morning tea for fellowship and love. Everyone is welcome.

The Oromo Church utilise our facilities on Friday evenings from 6.00-8.00pm and Saturdays from 9.00am – 2.00pm.

The South Sudanese Fellowship welcomes you on Sundays from 1.00 – 5.00pm.

We  host a Friendship  group, and many weekly local meetings including Alcoholics Anonymous, Berwick Probus and the A’ Capella Fellas Men’s Choir.

We have an active Church Council and operate as a Safe Church.

At present our active ministers are Reverend Dr Tony Floyd, Reverend Paul Dau, Reverend Sue Stott-Floyd and Reverend Neil Peters.
