Planning for the future Uniting Church in Officer in partnership with the State Government developer VicUrban is now progressing. A task group formed by Presbytery is meeting regularly with VicUrban. The task group is made up of members from Officer congregation, Berwick congregation, Presbytery and Synod.
VicUrban have accepted all the recommendation contained in a Planning Brief submitted in June 2006. To quote the project manager. "All the recommendations are achievable, it will be up to the task group to work out the details". Berwick and Officer congregations will have an important role in this project and VicUrban is excited by the prospect of having the Uniting Church involved in the planning.
